How to Connect a DEERC Drone to Your Phone (D10, D20, D50 and Others)
DEERC camera drones send their video to your phone over the drone’s own Wi-Fi. To connect: install the app named in your drone’s manual (models like the D10, D20 and D50 use a DEERC FPV-type app; newer models may use DEERC Fly or DE FPV), switch on the drone and bind the remote, then join the drone’s Wi-Fi network (named like DeercFPV-xxxxxx or DEERC-xxxxxx) in the phone’s settings with Bluetooth, mobile data and VPN off, and open the app. The video appears automatically.

Step by step
- Check the app: look at the manual or the QR code in it; DEERC has used several apps over the years. Install it from the official app store.
- Power on the drone on a flat surface, then the remote, and let them pair (usually by pushing the left stick up and down; the lights go solid).
- Prepare the phone: turn off mobile data, Bluetooth and any VPN, which can disturb the drone link.
- Join the Wi-Fi: in Settings → Wi-Fi, select the network named after the drone (for example
DeercFPV-…on the D10,DEERC-…on the D50). - Stay connected when the phone warns there’s no internet.
- Open the app and tap start; the camera view should appear within seconds.
- Mount the phone in the remote’s holder if it has one.
Which app?
Toy-drone makers often use apps made by partner companies, and app names change. Models such as the D10, D20 and D50 have been documented with the DEERC FPV app; some users report a newer replacement called DE FPV, and newer DEERC models use DEERC Fly. If an app doesn’t find the drone, check the manual for your model’s exact app, look for a newer app version, and avoid lookalike apps from unknown publishers.

Range and video
Wi-Fi video on small drones usually works over tens of metres, sometimes more in open space with no interference. The remote’s radio reaches further than the video, so you may still have control when the picture freezes. Keep the drone in sight, as the rules require in most countries, and treat the camera view as a bonus rather than your main way to fly.
iPhone or Android
The steps are the same on both. iPhones may need you to allow “Local Network” access for the app in Settings; Android phones often need location permission for Wi-Fi scanning. Similar steps apply to other brands; compare connecting a Potensic drone.
