How Big Is a 1/18 Scale RC Car? Size, Comparison and Uses
A 1/18 scale RC car is one eighteenth the size of the real vehicle. A typical 4.5 m car becomes about 25 cm long at 1/18, and most 1/18 RC cars measure roughly 22–28 cm long and 10–15 cm wide, about the length of a sheet of A4 paper. How scale works
Scale is a ratio: at 1/18, 1 cm on the model is 18 cm on the real vehicle. Divide a real car’s length by 18 to get the model’s length. Because real vehicles differ in size, a 1/18 truck is bigger than a 1/18 hatchback, and RC makers don’t always follow scale strictly; many “1/18” cars are a bit larger or smaller.
